5. Avoiding Diagrams — practise drawing and labelling important biological structures so you can reproduce them confidently when required.
6. Studying Topics in Isolation — many Biology topics are connected. Understanding enzymes, for example, helps with digestion, respiration and photosynthesis alike, so look for connections across the course.
7. Not Using Past Papers — past papers show you how the material you've learned can actually appear in the exam, so complete questions regularly and review the marking schemes afterwards.
