The written Leaving Certificate French examination takes place during the June examination period, with the exact date confirmed each year by the State Examinations Commission (SEC). The oral examination takes place separately before the main written examinations.

Consistency is one of the most effective ways to improve a language. Try to have regular contact with the language through vocabulary, reading, listening, writing and speaking, and use past exam questions to become familiar with the examination.
